Julie is a single mother of 4, of which the younger 2 graduated from Mapleton High School after moving to Mapleton in 2010.  She now has a 4 year old  Grandson and a Grandaughter due in October.  

 Julie has Volunteered as a  Fire Fighter and EMT for 13 years in Mapleton . She's also Certified as a Peer Support Specialist, worked with a Mobile Crisis Response Team, Harmony Event Medical, SERV-OR,  and Marion County Medical Response Team. 

 Julie has also served the community of Mapleton as one of the orginizers in establishing SHALOM, the non profit community support center and the beginnings of Food Share, when it was still operating out of the Grange.
